Michael implements AFT’s proactive media relations strategies nationally and throughout its local regions. Michael has a diverse background working within radio, television, print and online. He has worked in media relations and communications with The American Psychological Association, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and most recently, a small DC-area based media relations firm. He has volunteered with local DC area political campaigns and tutoring children at local Boys and Girls clubs. He also enjoys watching his favorite local and national sports teams, hiking the best local trails and travelling to the nation’s great national and state parks. Michael earned his Master of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Missouri and a Bachelor degree from the University of Maryland.
